The Xpeditions center rents a multitude of different types of equipment to students who are interested in taking a trip and don’t have gear of their own or to students looking to fill in something they accidently left at home. See our price list for a full inventory of the gear we currently rent.
Hourly rate are up to the hour (i.e. 1 hour 10 minutes = 2 hour fee). Daily rate must be returned the same day. Weekend rates include Friday and returned no later than Monday. Weekly rates are for a maximum of seven days.

Rental Policies
- Rental equipment is available only to SRWC members with a valid
UW Oshkosh ID. ID will be kept at the front desk until all rented equipment is returned and all fees are paid.
- Students younger than 18 will also need a parent/guardian signature.
- For rental information email us at xpeditions@uwosh.edu or stop in during regular operating hours. Sorry no telephone reservations..
- Equipment forms, checkouts, and returns occur in the Xpedition Center.
- Equipment rental contracts are considered binding agreements between the participants/users and UW Oshkosh. Please ask if you have any questions about your contract.
- All payments are made at the SRWC main desk.
- Payment methods are cash, check or titan dollar. Sorry no credit or debit cards.
- Payment plus any necessary deposit is required before any equipment may be released.
- Equipment is not reserved until full payment is received.
- Late Fee is daily fee for each day until the equipment is returned.
- Group discounts available upon request.
Rental Periods
- Daily – equipment must be returned the same day or next day unless otherwise arranged.
- Weekend – equipment is picked up Friday and returned no later than Monday
- Holiday weekends – count as regular weekends so one free extra day
- Weekly – equipment may be out a maximum of seven days including check
out and return
- Pick up – can not be prior to the first rental day
- There are no special refunds for inclement weather or changed plans.
- No refunds or credit for items rented but not picked up.
- Equipment must be properly
cleaned, dried, and packed prior to its return or a fee is charged.
- A late fee is charged at the daily rate for each day the equipment is late.
- The cleaning, drying, repacking and/or repair fee is $15/hour.
- If equipment is lost or broken beyond repair, the renter will be charged current replacement cost.
- Unpaid charges will be referred to the Vice Chancellors office and a hold will be placed on the student account.
