Rentals

Xpeditions offers a great variety of outdoor equipment for students to rent.  Hourly rates are rounded up to the hour (i.e. 1 hour 10 minutes = 2 hour fee).  Daily rentals must be returned the same day.  Weekend rentals include Friday and must be returned on Monday.  Weekly rentals are for a maximum of seven days.

Rental Fees for current SRWC members, including UW Oshkosh students, faculty/staff, and spouses/domestic partners are listed below.

Rental fees for non-SRWC members, including UW Oshkosh students (who have not paid segregated fees), faculty/staff (who have not paid the membership fee), and spouses/domestic partners (who have not paid the membership fee) are twice the amount for current SRWC members and are listed below in ( ).

 Rental Policies

1. Rental equipment is available only to SRWC members and non-members with a valid UW Oshkosh ID.  ID will be kept at the SRWC front desk until all rented equipment is returned and all fees are paid.
2. Students younger than 18 will also need a parent/guardian signature.
3. Equipment forms, checkouts, and returns occur in Xpeditions.
4. Equipment rental contracts are considered binding agreements between the renter(s) and UW Oshkosh.  Please ask if you have any questions about your contract.
5. All payments are made at the SRWC front desk.
6. Payment can be made with cash, check, or Titan dollars.  Sorry, no credit or debit cards.
7. Payment plus any necessary deposit is required before any equipment may be released.
8. Equipment is not reserved until full payment is received.
9. Late fee is daily fee for each day the equipment is unreturned. 
10. Group discounts are available upon request.
11. Equipment must be properly cleaned, dried, and packed prior to its return or a fee is charged.
12. Cleaning, drying, repacking, and/or repair is $15/hour.
13. If equipment is lost or broken beyond repair, the renter will be charged the current replacement cost.
14. Unpaid charges will be referred to the Vice Chancellor's office and a hold will be placed on the student account. 
15. Rental time periods:

Daily - equipment must be returned the same day (or following day IF previously arranged)

Weekend - equipment is picked up Friday and returned no later than Monday

Holiday weekends - may include one free extra day (please ask)

Weekly - equipment may be out a maximum of 7 days, including checkout and return  

NOTE: EQUIPMENT MUST BE RETURNED 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO SRWC CLOSING OR LATE FEE WILL BE ASSESSED. 

Cancellation Policy

1. Reservations must be cancelled one day prior to pick up to receive full refund.  If this does not occur, one day rental will be charged.
2. There are no special refunds for inclement weather or changed plans.
3. No refunds or credit for items rented but not picked up.
